Arunet index.htm

Page URL: index.htm

Welcome! Apologies: I have to have this due to some legacy stuff. I try to publish more interest-specific URLs. Those of you who have come in here...

Please click here for the site's proper home page.

Have a laugh at some dated material! It may be dated in styling, but not all of the content is obsolete. Much of what was t here is now also available at https://skywoof.com/aru/index2.htm (*My Compuserve (See Wikipedia!) site is, alas, history.)

(There's no need to read the rest of this, if the "Click here" above worked! If it didn't....)

You have arrived at my 'other' homepage. If it is being tedious or slow..... please try a second time (almost immediately will be fine- it seems to 'appear' happily on the second attempt, despite messages like 'no such URL').... and email me, either from here or from my secondary homepage, saying you didn't get in, or had to try twice? News of success would also be welcome! I promise: I won't use your return email address for junk mail!!! Thanks! If you don't get into my main site, hosted by Arunet, use my Compuserve site? ... but it is a subset of the Arunet material. Sorry you had to read this far! IF you had trouble, please let me know which site was misbehaving, so that I can try to get better service? (Having said that... I've had no complaints in the past year.)

This page is maintained with a local ISP called Arunet. I need to access my email, etc, from various locations in the US and UK, so I 'need' something like CompuServe.... but I decided I needed to check the alternatives. For southern West Sussex, Arunet, now part of Fastnet, seemed to offer a good package, hence this experiment. (And after many years, I'm still happy!) (I also like and have used for years (not as many!) 1&1, both in the US and in the UK).

As I ask for no information from you, there's little danger of using my http:// pages. But I applaud your caution if you won't go there now. I'll try to get the pages moved here for you, but it is a HUGE task!

A few words from the sponsors...

If you found this of interest, please mention in forums, give it a Facebook "like", or whatever. If you want more of this stuff: help!? There's not much point in me writing these things, if no one hears about them. Does anyone feel they are of any use? If YOU do- please spread the word!

What's New at the Site   / /   Advanced search

This search tool (free to me and to you) is provided by FreeFind.com... whom I've used since 2000. I'm happy with them... obviously!

Unlike the clever Google search engine, FreeFind's merely looks for the words you type, so....
*    Spell them properly.
*    Don't bother with "How do I get rich?" That will merely return pages with "how", "do", "I"....

Disclosure: FreeFind tells me what people have searched for. It doesn't tell me your personal details. (If someone would "spy" on you, wouldn't they also feel free to lie in a "privacy statement"? Not to say I'm not lying... how can you tell?... but to say "What are privacy statements worth?".

Please also note that I also have other sites, and that the FreeFind search will not include results from them. They each have their own site-specific search buttons.

My SheepdogSoftware.co.uk site. My main homepage is there. It has links for other areas, such as education, programming, investing.

My "wywtk.com" site...WhatYouWantToKnow

My "skywoof.com" site... ((IMG-Sky as puppy))This is Sky. "skywoof.com" is named for her. (^_^)

And there are links from those pages to pages at my SheepdogGuides.com, Arduserver.com and Flat-Earth-Academy.com sites, which are also controlled by me.

To email this page's editor, Tom Boyd.... Editor's email address. Suggestions welcomed! Please cite the page's URL, "[[arunet]]/index.htm".

(eXTReMe tracker icon) Why is there a script or hidden graphic on this page? I have my web-traffic monitored for me by eXTReMe tracker. They offer a free tracker. If you want to try one, check out their site. Neither my webpages nor my programs incorporate spyware, but if the page has Google tools, they also involve scripts. Why do I mention the scripts? Be sure you know all you need to about spyware.
